Cheating-Death 4.6.1 Released

United Admins has released the latest version of the famous Cheating-Death. This version 4.6.1 resolves a variety of issues, mainly related to codes 7 and 30 in the previous version. The majority of users with problems should find these resolved with this new version.

yey for cheating death. the program everone seems to love but hates installing.



I personally dont use cheating death. don't see the need for 3rd party software just to play a game. valve seem to produce an anti cheat that doesnt require some other app to run in the back ground (not including steam)

I'd like to see more CD servers maybe even a possible usage in leagues (yes I am aware there is an OGC version that bypasses it as CD). If CD's compatability issues with VAC can be worked out and possibly even throw in HL-Guard somewhere in there, it will be the ultimate cheat prevention tool!



Too bad someone will probably find a way around it but it's worth a shot...

yeah but you know valve are probably gonna start charging us to use vac too; if they can charge us for a 5 year old game, im sure they have no scruples about charging us for an out-of-date(within a few days) cheat solution

you should do your research. there's plenty of CD Hacks out there that make ANY cheat work.

valve anti cheat may be greater than united admins, but that is merely do to the fact that it is more widely used.

for cd, you double click an icon, and then play. how does that make it lesser than an anti cheat that has significantly many more hacks written for it, as pointed out by the poster before you. (whether it will be deleted/edited or not, idk)

and that's not only because it's "default", but it also rings true because its much, much better than CD ever was, is, or will be.

im assuming since things are pretty settled, VAC updates will be rolling out as often as they did in 1.5



that was at least once a week, sometimes even two times a week.



how often does CD get updated? much less than VAC, that's for sure. and you cant bring up an arguement about how CD doesn't need updates, because it's painfully obvious all of the problems it has.



im quite glad that CD will never grow into anything bigger than it is now. it's a horrible anti-cheat for it's time. sure, it was great back in the 1.3 days, but now using CD is pointless.



let's look at some details here



VAC will ban you from all servers if you get caught cheating, and repeated offenses get you banned for up to what.. 5 years or more? false positives can easily be cleared up with an email.



CD does what? i forget. i remember it used to just "make cheats not work" but now i see stuff about "new cheat detections" so it doesnt really seem like the old CD to me.. more like a punk-buster or something



VAC updates automatically, and can be recalled whenever there happens to be a problem



CD, last i checked (a while ago), wasnt updated automatically, so you end up finding servers with outdated CD among other things



VAC doesnt require the client to download squat manually



CD requires the client to update CD



CD has stupid problems such as issues with FPS, people turning invisible, hitboxes being screwed up (or player models appearing out of place, either way, its nearly the same). You can't say these problems don't exist, either, because i've tested with multiple systems and everything here is true. though, i know you will say it isnt true. i long for the day when UA actually fixes these flaws in CD and puts it in the change-log just so i can rub it in your face. it will be kinda like how the fanboys were saying hitboxes werent screwed up when (meta-mod, was it?) was introduced, then they released that update that finally proved it to all the little maggots.

You've got a point there, I've never actually looked into cheat detection in great detail so I could only go by what I saw and heard from others.



It just seems that VAC isn't increadibly effective seeing the amounts of cheats that are going around on public servers. But I used to run a server myself and I've seen VAC ban people on numerous occaisions.



You're probably right though, CD would be more effective once they get all the bugs worked out...after several years...maybe...I'll just stick to VAC for now.

CD and VAC update about at the same pace. Both are prone to weeks without updates at times.

Well, this is pretty funny. A old cheat a very old cheat havent still been blocked by VAC yet. (CS 1.5). Im not going to say the name of the cheat but its over a year old.
