basically it dont matter what we think. opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one. Had this shit not have happened, it'd have given teh community one less thing to bitch about it. Release date is unknown or april 04', so you can either deal with it or /part life, whichever way you do it valve couldn't care less. Either way they still make shed loads of money out of it.

I hoped not to be reminded of this one, but I guess such a drastic turn of events for VALVe such as this deserved a mailbag. True it's awful, but I for one really am in the kinda mood where I don't care when it releases as long as it does and it's good. As long as WON and STEAM are running, Half-Life and their mods will run and that will be preoccupation enough. When HL2 releases (and the proper corrections done) we'll rejoice.



I'm pretty sure a lot of us have this kinda feeling goin' on right now. = O

So many people already said it already. When it comes out, I, along with most everyone else that were going to originally buy it, will run to the store, money in hand. I just hope that I am not dissapointed. If Valve cannot do a good job of recoding all of parts of that could lead to cheats (netcode, etc) then multiplayer will be in HUGE trouble. We can only hope.

Even if they release HL2 say in April that doesn't translate to playing CS2 anytime soon. So we have another 20hours of gameplay on a single player game...then what? HL2DM? Can't wait for that! Not!



CS2 which is what everyone is really waiting for, since no one is playing HLDM anymore, it won't be out till probably this time next year and that's optimistic.



So move along folks, Unless your waiting for a single player HL game then there's nothing to see here.



BTW I can't wait to see how Valve can add some other BS weapon to CS2 to unbalance it more. They will probably come up with the n00b force field and auto aim so n00bs will quit downloading the cheats to do the same thing. Confidence in Valve ~ -1....Wait think positive right? k no thx!

And yay, I was in the mailbag. I guess my overall view is still that VALVe has enough common sense to know what needs to be recoded before the official launch of HL2, so we probably won't have too much to worry about as far as cheating goes when this finally gets released.



I mean, really... they've seen the cheating in the HL mod scene for years, so it's kind of dumb to think they won't be doing their best to make it extremely difficult for hackers to mess with.



Overall, good job asspennies. :) Now get back to stuffing $10 in pennies up your ass and spending them.

Yep - almost as bad as Splinter Cell which I also beat in 5 hours, and was totally depressed with the lame ending. Of course, that's what you get with most SP games that don't come with an MP version. Gotta admit though - SC's graphics were awesome.
