    mailbag: half-life 2 leak

Time for your delivery of mail! Bags, that is. This edition of the mailbag is all about that silly Half-Life 2 leak. You remember that, don't you? Here's a taste of what you'll read:
I think its stupid delaying the game till april, most of the gamers will lose faith and buy other titles such as max payne 2. If they brought out the game as soon as the code got leaked people would hav bought it straight away, now everyone has to wait till april they will want to get a pirate version instead.
Oh, there's plenty more timeless wisdom and lyrical prose inside. Come and see, won't you?

When I first heard about "Half-Life 2" "Valve's major project" being leaked I just laughed. How the hell can they let something like this be hacked. Many peoply think that the HL2 source was never leaked at all. They think that Valve created the story to get free publicity and also to have an excuse so they have more time to work on it. The september release was never going to happen so valve thought "err shit, weve lied to these guys wot we gonna do" "I know, we can say its been leaked and due to the result of it we can delay the game till april 04". Oh and btw, the pictures on the right which represents the news are getting lamer and lamer :)

What is supposed to be? I know it's to mark the end of the article, but to be honest, it looks like a log.

this wasn't the funniest one, but it had it's moments.
There are also internet sites you can visit to go deeper into your dementia. Not that I'd know anything about those sites, or have them bookmarked or saved to my hard drive or anything.

Nice mailbag. Gotta' love how he owns them bad with their retarded comments. I love stupid people, gives me something to laugh at.

For the record - the delay didn't effect me at all - I'll wait until I need to in order to get my copy. =)

Lets face it, we are all gonna run out to the shops, cash in hand as soon as its released no matter how long they delay it, so i cant really see it hurting valve too much. I do think whoever did this (dont believe the valve are lying about the hacker theory :) deserves lynching.

**sighs deeply and twiddles thumbs until april**

P.S. One upside of the delay is more time to buy some much needed upgrades :)

I don't mind, because no matter when it comes out I'll buy it straight away, so the longer it is, the better I can make my computer, and therefore the better the game will be for me.

Bring back the insanely funny Rizzuh mailbags. Thankyou.

to be honest, as good as max payne 2 was, it was FAR to short, and not really as big a jump from the first as I expected, I'm still very much looking forward to HL2, regardless of how late it is

LOL at the person who thinks Blizzard will suffer because of VALVe. Sierra will suffer some, but VALVe is the one who is going to be the only true casualty. Vivendi is already suffering way to much to even care about VALVe's problems and in the end, it would be a good move if Vivendi sold off their gaming sector to Microsoft or someone else. Would be a better move if they sold Blizzard seperately, that way Sierra can't try to make another crappy ass expansion for any of the Blizzard series hoping to churn a profit.
