And forgive my asking, but didn't Valve already do a HL2 hardware survey? Why do another one? And also, if they're gettign ready to give HL2 the go-ahead, and if they've done the preloading and stuff... isn't it a bit late to change the minimum spec now anyway?

Ok..i didn't play yet so don't know if games crush...but i can tell that Russian translation sucks (not that many pple here care)...first it doesn't feet the window, so you have to guess the last part of word or several next words. And also it seems like they just copy&paste english version into some electronic dicitonary or asked some "russian" guy who came to this country when he was like 2years old(obviously doesn't know russian but consider himself to be one) to translated it.

Maybe it is me, but this doesn't inspire any confidence in future Valve products. If they can't leave something alone that was working fine, why would I want to pay for more grief when HL2 and CS:Source come out?

yeah guys hes got a point there gss its only a game dont take it seriously just patience they will get it fixed!! but if u cant connect in a game bad luck play another game if u have a back up game though or watch a movie

Ok...they figured out what causes the problem (instead of complaining better go and read Steam Support Forum)...you'll have your game crush only it has custom files. So for now delete/rename/move to another location your CS folder...and play with default files or wait till they fix it.
