How much difference does a mousepad make, I use a Surface 1030 from func.net which is better than a regular cloth mousepad, but from there I don't see how it gets better..

Yeah my func is fine, I've had it since Christmas. Smooth side wore down extremely quickly so I've been using rough for months. Rough seems alot better than smooth because of how the mouse glides.

Slick pads with low friction seem to work well with counter-strike. I use a func. These new steelpads don't have the rubber base which is a plus i guess for people who can't stand the rubber on the func warping, even though it doesn't seem to have any negative effects besides look funcy (haha get it)

That's the date on the Rambo review from SoGamed. No offense, but that newsbit is more than a month old, and it is therefore stale and unedible.



Deletable, you should really get like a regular cloth mousepad. Better yet, get a Logitech MX300 for like $30 and you'll have a damn good mouse which works a hell of a lot better on a straight desk.



I use a supermat, it's a great pad and it's like $10 at CompUSA or Staples. It's just a big cloth mousepad.

damn me needs a mousepad. my mx700's sitting all alone. Just wondering tho how come this new steelpad4ds cheaper and made of plastic while the other ones are metal. Wouldn't the new one be worse and if so why would 3d and sk use it.

I still use my desk surface too, though I have both a ball mouse and a laser mouse hooked up. I have a funky (not funcy) desk surface area for my mice anyway, so I doubt I'd find a normal mouse pad that was big enough in the right shape without having to cut it down in sections. Too much effort for so little gain, imho.



I should probably be nice and not mention that you used the wrong form of "it's" in your post. Meh, too late.
