    CSMC Map Installer

Having trouble installing custom maps onto Steam? CSMapCentral has updated their map installers so that it is now compatible with Steam. With the installer, all you have to do is download the map from their site, and it will automatically install them into the necessary Steam/CS folders. It's that easy!

Now go grab the CSMC map installer here you! Before you can download, you must be a registered member, which is free.

Wouldn't you just add them like you would custom models?

the nice thing about my installer, it takes the hassle out of installing maps... many sites have a HUGE selection of maps, but when you get the maps, they aren't organized properly, you have no idea where the heck to put the files, etc...

i've done my best to pack the maps properly, and with the installer, it downloads/extracts them easily into your CS installation

anyways, my host is having problems (their NOC is having frequent outages... just started today...), so i apologize if anyone has problems accessing the site

                lmfao, no

in the distant future, i intend to start a pay service that has more features, etc, but there will always be a basic free installer, and free map downloads

btw, the only reason that i want to start a pay version, is to generate some revenue to cover the cost of the server. if i had received more than $15 in donations, in the past 3 months, i wouldn't consider the pay service, lol

anyways, nothing for the cheapskates to worry about, there'll always be something basic for them to use, as long as i'm able to keep the server up, lol

Anyone try my site? I use clickteam installer to compile all of my downloads for CS 1.6 ! I set it up to install to the location:

                        ???\SteamApps\*EMAIL ADRESS*\

And after it installs the file, it safely update the registers so you don't have to go through the trouble looking for the folder again!

http://63.92.152.221/~bicyclman/downloads/ <- here's the instructions page with all the info! (has pics too!)

well if map makers started using .exe files n00bs wouldnt need this program and ccould easily install maps... wait a minute, that would mean too many n00bs have all t3h 1337 maps...

would also mean a lot of viruses&trojans, lack of crossplatform compatability, extra filesize for downloading, extra effort for mapmakers, an increase in cost&bandwidth&disk for servers that host the files....
