    Valve Info Snippets

Hey, we all hate newsbits but sometimes just nothing else will do.
    • halflife.org has produced an article entitled valve doesn't owe you squat!" which is a swipe at all those negative forum addicts out there.

    • gamespy continues to update it's article on the opinions of the game development community with regard to valve's problems. check it!

    • planet halflife has drawn attention to this post on the official steam forums. it seems to be a genuine attempt to help describe why steam is in fact a good idea. it's not been received very well by many in the community so i think that posting it might help spread steamy love and reduce ignorance. touch me.
    That's it. Off you go.

The first article is a typical fanboy rant. In fact, given that game companies make their living off of our wallets, they care a great deal about what fans think. And when fans make a big issue about something, intelligent companies modify their behavior.

Steams great. Works 99.9% of the time and considering it's free and the amount of people using it, that's great.

See, the reason we don't get questions like, "why did Valve make Steam?" around here is that I have already enlightened the masses as to why Valve is doing this. What consumers will tolerate presently will benefit Valve immensely in the long term...

Damn straight. Fanboys need to learn that they are the ones keeping us from getting better games and having free MMORPGs!
