Gabe Newell has broken VALVe's eerie silence with a post about CS: Condition Zero's new auto-buy and re-buy features.

When money gets tight, the order that items are "re-bought" can become important. We allow the experienced gamer to control ReBuy priorities by editing their ReBuy.txt file. It basically lists weapon and equipment categories in the order they should be purchased.

It's basically an overview of the auto-buy and re-buy functions in CS:CZ (hands on preview), but it explains them in a little more detail that I had previously seen. Oh Gabe, I kiss you.

This is a great idea. I remember the first time I played CS, I didn't have the slightest clue what weapons I was supposed to be buying. Now there's a magical button to do it all for me!

I wonder wether it will rebuy an armor if for example it is still useable with 80 armor point left for example...

At least now i wont accidentally buy a UMP :) Cool. This has probably been the only good thing I've said about CZ. I just hope there'll be even more helpful features like this...probably after a while through Steam etc.



Edit: It should work like normal buy aliases we're used to, and it will most likely buy armour automatically even if theres still a usable amount. Well it aint a proper answer...just a thought as always.



Edit again: Why would they take out the normal buy system? It wouldnt be CS anymore. Its unlikely Id say.

I'm prepared to go out on a very short, safe limb here and say that these are additions to the current buy system, and all the features already in place will remain.

I would guess that a super-duper new interface will appear within Steam that will let you enter your credit card details in the program itself. Then you'll get access to download CZ just like you can with the current crop of Steam games.

cool thumbs up to gabe and valve . But somethin cool i think is customizable guns like when you buy a gun you can get addons like tac lights n shit :P. Dunno just think it would be cool
