Last night, at the start of CAL-i's second half of the season, some teams really looked at top form. TSG, e7, and DZ each won at least 20 rounds. But other matches proved to be very close as we saw six matches end by just four rounds or less. One of those close matches was 3D vs. GW. 3D won the match, but GW gave them a race for their money as they won 10 rounds. Ajeet got 34 kills for GW, but boms countered with 32 for 3D.

In a very big match for both teams, u5 pushed their winning streak to seven straight games. Though zEx isn’t out of the division race yet, they fell behind by four points now and have played two more matches than u5. u5 really looks like the top team in CAL-i right now, as nobody has been able to figure out how to beat them yet. Moving u5 and 3DO have been very good decisions on the part of CAL as both of these teams are doing very well.
TSG over Eminence - (20-4) (11-1 TSG as T)(9-3 TSG as CT)
After the first half, this match was all but over for Eminence. When TSG was on the terrorist side, method and volcano had 19/3 and 19/4 scores respectively. Considering that this was CAL’s match of the night, it’s surprising how big the margin of victory was here. TSG is still in the hunt for the division title though they have two very good teams ahead of them. Eminence's Aimetti AKA Rage went 0/24 in the match.
e7 over TAU - (21-3) (11-1 e7 as T)(10-2 e7 as CT)
The match for second place in the Delta division ended with e7 firmly establishing themselves there. Though neither team has much of a chance to pass 3D for the division lead, they can still make the playoffs. After winning the pistol round on the terrorist side, e7 never looked back and dominated all the way through in the biggest blowout of the night.
3D over Gamewyze - (14-10) (9-3 3D as CT)(5-7 3D as T)
This will be 3D’s last match in CAL for the next two weeks. They are headed to San Francisco for WCG and will reschedule their next three matches. This match was much closer than anyone had expected. GW, and especially Ajeet, really brought their best game and made this very close.
DZ over LgD - (20-4) (10-2 DZ as CT)(10-2 DZ as T)
Deadzone has been the least consistent team in CAL-i this season. They have dominated zEx and now LgD but have also lost to BiO. If they could do what they did against zEx and LgD every match they would be unstoppable. But as things stand now, they are just an unpredictable mediocre team with a 3-6 record.
TEC over Agent - (13-11) (4-8 TEC as CT)(9-3 TEC as T)
Agent is finally showing some signs of life again. TEC barely squeaked past them in this match to keep pace with the division leader, shock. After starting the season 0-4, Agent had won three out of their last four coming into this match.
mV over RDW - (14-10) (7-5 mV as T)(7-5 mV as CT)
In a minor upset, mV showed some of the spark that they had at the beginning of the season. Winning seven rounds on each side of the map, gave mV their fourth win of the season.
shock over BiO - (14-10) (6-6 shock as T)(8-4 shock as CT)
This match was a lot closer than expected. Shock has been leading the Gamma division all season, while BiO has been struggling to win a match. This match was between the first and last place team in the Gamma division so it’s surprising that shock was only able to come up with 14 rounds.
xeno vs sR - Rescheduled
hs over Pinnacle - (13-0 Forfeit Win)
This was hs’s second win of the year. Unfortunately, both of them have been forfeits. Don’t expect hs to win any other non-forfeit matches this season.
Rival over LaR - (14-10) (5-7 Rival as CT)(9-3 Rival as T)
Rival defended their division lead with this win. The Theta Division is packed with 10 teams, just one less than the Delta and Omega combined. The race for the division crown has come down to just three teams, Rival, EG, and 3DO. EG forfeited to Rival last week and the two points is what currently separates the two teams.
EG over SYB - (19-5) (11-1 EG as T)(8-4 EG as CT)
A dominating performance on the terrorist side was all EG needed to win this one. SYB has been a middle of the pack team for the last two seasons. If not for EG's forfeit to Rival last week, they might have been on top of the division now.
ICE over Cc - (15-9) (10-2 ICE as T)(5-7 ICE as CT)
Both of these teams are in the middle of the huge Theta Division. This match was decided on the terrorist half also, as ICE won 10 out of the 12 rounds. Both teams still have a chance at the playoffs with seven matches left, but it will be an upward climb because of how many teams are in the division.
3DO over nerve - (14-10) (7-5 3DO as T)(7-5 3DO as CT)
Nerve put up a fight on both sides but was unable to upset the CAL-m moveup, 3DO. 3DO has won their last five matches and can tie Rival for the division lead if they win their makeup match.

The only match where the CT side was stronger than the T side was in this match up of two old powerhouses. Though neither is much of a challenge this year, in seasons past these teams have been the cream of the crop in CAL-i.
