I knew I recognized the name VUGaming somewhere... then I remembered:

I was been playing in an "official" VUG server that spammed a huge console and welcome message, each saying how incredibly 'leet VUG was and practically begging you to buy a server. It seemed very unprofessional and a bit excessive. I also recall the admin of that server being an arrogant, immature, newbish asshole. :/



That was my only experience with your business, and it certainly turned me off, to say the least. I hate to judge the company by this one encounter, but I lost all respect for it because of that.

One positive thing I can say, however - the ping was good.

Yes...I am very sorry for this but that was when we had a different owner. I had to go to away for a while so I chose a close friend to take ownership of VUGaming Networks temporarily. I found out that he had been banning numerous players for no reason and had no respect for the gaming community what so ever. I am very sorry about your past experiences but I guarantee that I will be the only owner from now on and I LOVE the gaming community and everyone in it. Again I am sorry and I hope you learn to love VUGaming Networks once again.

At the time of this post, Steam is back up and to full functionality.

if you quit steam, delete steam\config\serverbrowser.vdf file and start steam, you will be able to see servers in the server list.



only drawback is that your favorites are gone. you'll have to re-add those.

Also, is there a way to delete the server browser file but still retain favorites? Like edit it in notepad, or something like that? Or, will VALVe just fix this in the next few minutes?

I agree...I'm sorry. I pushed my advertising to the limit.
