Thursday's CAL-i matches ended a bit anticlimactically, with nearly half of the games resulting in either a forfeit or a reschedule. Many lesser caliber teams managed to snag a win, making the night seem like a farce. At least the forfeits make my job easier.[break="click for match results"]Rival over SYB - (13-11) (6-6 Rival as CT)(7-5 Rival as T)
Rival picks up a close win by just two rounds. SYB almost snagged the upset win here, but couldn't exploit the inherent terrorist team advantage on Fire to their benefit.
3DO over WEW - (14-10) (7-5 3D0 as T)(7-5 3D0 as CT)
With a 6-1 record, 3DO is sitting comfortably in CAL. They win over WEW who has been playing poorly this season, sitting at a lowly 2-6 record now.
Agent over LgD - (14-10) (5-7 Agent as CT)(9-3 Agent as T)
Not really a win many people expected - Agent got slammed by BiO on Monday night. Apparently Agent managed to recover from that blow to get the win against LgD last night.
RDW over xeno - (14-10) (10-2 RDW as T)(4-8 RDW as CT)
A good map for RDW, or a quick adaptation to 1.6. Regardless, RDW seems to still be doing well even without destrukt, who is in e7.
TEC over TAU - (15-9) (5-7 TEC as CT)(10-2 TEC as CT)
With an amazing CT side, which is uncommon for this map, TEC follows u5's lead to crush TAU. Is TAU slipping?
zEx over Eminence - (18-6) (10-2 zEx as T)(8-4 zEx as CT)
With a good show of talent on Monday, Eminence couldn't do the same yesterday when they were paired off againt the new zEx. The new zEx has certainly shown that they are capable of taking out some top teams, but their playing is spotty at best. Nearly taking out 3D one day, then getting torn up by DZ, then getting beaten by RDW, and now taking over a strong Eminence team. Future matches will show if zEx can play consistently enough to do well in playoffs (if they even make playoffs).
Cc over TSO - (18-6) (7-5 Cc as CT)(11-1 Cc as T)
Well, apparently Sublyme's prediction that TSO would mount a comeback hasn't happened, at least not yet. Cc grabs a win here with a strong T side, boosting their record to 3-5.
BiO over Deadzone - (14-10) (6-6 BiO as CT)(8-4 BiO as T)
Ouch. BiO gains its second win of the season - and the week - and DeadZone drops to 2-6. This is not DeadZone's week.
3D over MurK - (13-0 Forfeit Win)
EG over nerve - (13-0 Forfeit Win)
u5 over GB - (13-0 Forfeit Win)
shock over GW - (13-0 Forfeit Win)
All forfeited.
TSG vs e7 - Rescheduled
mV vs hs - Rescheduled
LaR vs ICE - Rescheduled
All rescheduled. Another day, perhaps.
