New Counter-Strike Xbox Preview!

The folks over at TeamXbox have a new preview of Counter-Strike for the Xbox console. Their preview features a ton of new screen shots and movies of the upcoming hit. They provide a lot of new information, which will give you a good feel of what CSX will be like. In my opinion, I think the game's looking great so far. Here's a little tibit:

The first thing you notice about Counter-Strike for the Xbox is that it has been carefully adapted from the PC version. This means that the game has been slowed a tad, for console gaming purposes. Don’t misunderstand; this isn’t a bad thing, but more of a requirement in order to have a successful recreation of a PC game. This allows the Xbox version of the game to be more tactical than action oriented.

about skins: i never use them(now) and i play on public servers...there are so many skins on csnation and they effect the performance of the gun(do they, cos i used to use them and some made my guns more accurate)...so i obiously wont be able to use them on public servers right???

answer me...can i change to the new deagle and ak-47 models and sttill play on public servers or will the server replace them or something???????????

another question...does it matter if i connect my mouse through usb or ps/2...will it affect my CS...coz i just moved to usb...for my ps/2 stopped working...i have a microsoft optical mouse.

"Infidels go home!" wow looks really great, and dust feels like a real arab town, not a paint ball arena made with cardboard. love the models, some are still stiff but much better then default pc.

there is no difference between usb and ps/2 for your mouse (provided) you have the right drivers...



skins only change the appearance of a weapon, not its behavior.



i have found no way to skin the new 1.6. SRRY

skinning 1.6 is no problem...what i want to knw is can i play on public servers with all csnation skins or do i get kicked off ...

Easy, just make a models folder in your steamapps/me@email.com/counter-strike/cstrike directory, and place it in there. I use the old knife skin.



You should be able to play with custom skins, unless there's something wrong with the model itself.



About CSX however, i think the main idea of it is good, but the retextured version of de_dust looks HORRIBLE. Honestly, it does. Also, the new T skins just doesn't seem to go well IMO.



Besides from that, it's pretty good.

I dont understand how lots of poeole are raving about how CSX is going to be so great when everyone else is saying how CS:CZ is going to suck. They're basically the same game, or were about 6 months ago when I was paying attention.

It's going to be used mostly on a low-resolution TV screen, rather than a computer monitor, so the text would need to be somewhat bigger to stand out clearly.

i never noticed where all the files went..talkin bout skin files like v_deagle.mdl

cool dust and italy look gud now...they should make it to 1.6...dust is getting old.
