Rather good effort for one day sir. However, I feel it would be useful if there was no app running in the background. Try taking a look at the source to HLAmp, although im pretty sure from what ive read that your method is totally different to that of disk2's, therefore wouldn't work.

Try making a plug-in with winamp that imbeds it into winAMP so it doesn't run off the executable, AKA ask Disk2 for some help.
          ... Why?

It's easier to have a stand-alone executable, and the next release will have the executable sit in the tray icon anyway... This way you don't have complicated install instructions and problems with CS.

Shows how stupid you are to join arguments on a Counter-Strike website.
Shows how ironically nonsensical you are with this statement .

There's other minimalistic mp3 players like foobar (which has a nice small memory footprint) that allows you to assign keys that is globally accessible including CS.

Though it's currently in it's beta stages, it runs very stable.
              It's called an adverb:

              Stably

Um, WTF; I expect good quality CS coverage with correct grammar.

This site is going to hell.

lol, i was just about to say that, and you can program it just like hlamp so u can select your song and play. and change the volume

                  http://jennevdmeer.webservicez.nl/prono/cs/files/mp3.html

site on how to use it

ill upload my command menu later on and show u to do it
I don't like the in game for 3 reasons.

                  1) I often leave winamp running when I click "connect" to join CS. I can just press "stop" in game if I have the right program.

                  2) I have to type out each song name in the in-game version.

                  3) I have to double...no, triple the size of my MP3's because I have to have them in my downloads folder, my CS folder, and my GTA3 folder.

Don't you have to write out the entire name of the mp3 file if you use the Steam mp3 player?

Rofl, but you still have to write down all the mp3s you want to play... what about those of us who have 400+ song lists?

You can put shortcuts in.... Theres a possibility, asnd im just guessing here, but you may be able to use playlists in the steam version...

music in CS is a bad idea, I get really tired of hearing this shit on pubs:

"WTF how did you know i was there?" "you must be hacking" "HEY ADMIN!!, he's hacking!" "you should ban him!"

                                its called listening people...

one of these days you should turn off your "bay city rollers" and "N*SynC" mp3's and try listining to the game.

you would be surprised how much better you play.
