Anyone get the update to work on windows servers? Of the three .so/.dll files downloaded, it looks like only the .so files got updated and the shield exploit still works on the server I updated.

Way off topic here, but anyone else slowly coming out of their long term Cs addiction?
Ever since 1.6 came out, I'm finding myself less and less interested in playing CS. Most of the people in my clan have become inactive, both of the pub servers that I run slowly seem to be dieing, and now I find it a lot easier to go to sleep at a decent time instead of keeping myself up to 2am and going into work sleepy. It could be just me, but I'm wondering if others feel the same.
The only thing that I'm not really enjoying (steam doesnt bother me)about CS, is that I feel like I'm just not as good at it anymore as I was. Most of the players that I have become acustomed to constantly owning, have been owning me lately in 1.6. I feel like everything is a headshot and its been really frustrating for me to get owned by someone who seems as if they arent even aiming at me. Maybe its an interp issue, maybe not. Whatever the case, I just preordered Halo for PC, and if its any good I have a feeling my long CS run is about to end.Comment

depends on the server. if you don't have -restart in your command line (or some kind of app like serverdoc or firedaemon) it wont restart on a an rcon quit. a lot of people don't do this. you've made it obvious that having rcon does not make you knowledgeable in how to config/run a server.
um for whoever said it was gay of valve to have folks restart their servers.....do you have rcon on a server at al? do you ko what it takes to restart a server? its very obvious you dont.
hlds restarts servers automaticlaly if you ever send a "quit" command.
as it is, most server admins are more inclined to not allow Steam to auto update their servers, because that is the same thing as just opening your mouth and telling people to dump food in there, you might be getting poison. gg ignorant misinformation.
Steam does need a way to indicate if a server has been updated, so that clients can choose to only join updated/non-updated servers.Comment

i suck/lag at 1.6 so bad i don't ever want to play it. i updated the nOOb server last night and haven't bothered to try and play on it yet.
