u5's winning streak continues, and so does nerve's losing streak. See how the usual suspects played last night in their de_inferno matches by clicking below.[break="click here for match results"]TSG over TEC - (19-5) (11-1 TSG as T)(8-4 TSG as CT)
The powerhouse known as TSG once again dominates on their second Inferno match. I don't doubt they could easily roll over almost all of the other CAL-i teams in their current state of play. It's unusual to see TEC get slammed like this by anyone.
u5 over xeno - (13-11) (5-7 u5 as CT)(8-4 u5 as T)
A very interesting match. United 5 was forced to play without one of their star players, beerz, forcing them to quickly find a replacement, Koncussion. He had 300 ping for the length of the match. Another u5 member, Frod, had to play without sound.
u5 still won.
e7 over LgD - (18-6) (8-4 e7 as CT)(10-2 e7 as T)
LgD is in freefall. They did well at the beginning of the season, but this loss to e7 marks their third loss in a row. With their rising experience, e7 should put up another great performance at the Winter CPL.
shock over Eminence - (17-7) (9-3 shock as CT)(8-4 shock as T)
Shock seemed to have reversed direction since Monday, where they barely won over BiO. Adjusting their strategies, shock pulled out a win, and this time by a good margin.
Deadzone over Agent- (21-3) (10-2 DZ as CT)(11-1 DZ as T)
Agent has shown some promise after doing reasonably well their past few matches, but any glimmer of that was hopelessly destroyed by DeadZone in this blowout. Agent should be licking their wounds for quite a while.
zEx over mV - (16-8) (7-5 zEx as CT)(9-3 zEx as T)
mV had an upset win over RDW on Monday but couldn't do it again when they played zEx last night.
RDW over BiO - (18-6) (7-5 rdw as CT)(11-1 rdw as T)
It's not like anyone really expected BiO to get the win last night. Another one of the unlucky teams to get rolled over as CTs, BiO can only hope for an easy match up on Monday.
ICE over WEW - (14-10) (6-6 ICE as T)(8-4 ICE as CT)
Another loss for WEW makes their future unclear. While they have been a staple of CAL-i for many seasons, this marks one of their worst. Previously, something like a TSO vs. WEW match probably would have resulted in WEW as the clear winner but I'm not so sure that would happen nowadays as WEW continues to lose.
Rival over Cc - (16-8) (6-6 Rival as CT)(10-2 Rival as T)
Rival is one of the best West teams. Cc isn't. Result: Rival wins. Cc did put up a good fight as Ts but all hell broke loose at the second half.
3DO over TSO - (14-10) (6-6 3DO as T)(8-4 3DO as CT)
3DO is a strong team and it's surprising to see them win by such a narrow margin to TSO. At least TSO is doing better than last season.
SYB over nerve - (21-3) (9-3 SYB as T)(12-0 SYB as CT)
Words can't explain how nerve must have felt after they were repeatedly denied by SYB on all of their Terrorist offensives. "Bink! Bink!" comes to mind.
Gamewyze over 1hq - (13-0 Forfeit Win)
1hq is dead.
