When was the last time Valve met a release date?
A leading game company would probably have a big meeting about this: "Well boys, we need this game finished by Sep 30th, so let's get it done."
But Valve seems to randomly just say "OK guys... we have a game to do ... *munch on funyuns* *gulp* ahh.. try and finish by Sep 30th. Oh you're not finished? Uh... *calls vivendi* great news! We have 3 more months to tinker with it!"Comment

its not really valve's problem, vivendi sells the games whenever they want to sell a game, and this really isnt a bad idea ( for them ) because more people will end up buying it, and now i can get a quick 2 month job for that p4 3.0ghz <3Comment

I figure they will make the CZ release over steam 'practice' for HL2. I wonder if they ever thought of doing some kind of P2P thing to increase their bandwidth. That way, the more people that have it, the faster other people can get it, and it will snowball and eventually ravage the internet, and money will fly out of ATMs, and carrots will grow on trees, and I like green eggs and ham, Sam I am. As said countless times before... I'm not surprised a bit.
I can't believe some of you actually ARE surprised. How could you believe, in all honesty, that VALVE would get a release date right? There was no possible way in heaven in the first place. I don't care either, if I'm honest... I'm busy playing MGS2: Substance and Vice City and CS 1.6 and then Halo and Max Payne 2 is probably gonna come out before HL2 so what the heck...
I am only disappointed of Valve as a company. How can they make so many delays to nearly anything they release and still not care about disappointing all the people anxiously awaiting their stuff... I mean, why the FUCK did they publish a release date (Sep 30th) in the first place? They should've just kept their mouths shut and said something about it when they were REALLY ready. Fuckers.
At least I know HL2 is going to rock. No question about it.Comment
