Problem: this sounds weird. i logged in my Steam, played CS, logged out. Exit. Quit Steam. Then, sometime later, i logged in Steam again (after some tries) and clicked on the games option. NONE of my games are loaded. Even my CS, which i played earlier. WTH?Comment

Cabal I get that problem too. If you look in ur error logs folder inside Steam folder AND look at the latest error log it will tell u that it couldnt get a valid content ticket. So Basically when the server ur connected to is maxed out all the games will be greyed out. Try reconnecting.Comment

im gettin a gay ass problem when i try to start steam sometimes wit cache sometimes without i have to create a new damn account every time cuz it says my others dont exist. (i've reinstalled steam several times here.)Sometimes it will get me a new account sometimes the bastard wont and when i try to start up steam with cache it stops responding at the menu with the games friends server and so on. THIS SHIT IS PISSING ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

I have just had the same thing happen as #96. Does anyone have a valid Valve email address? I would use steampowered but its down still. I would like, in a non flaming way, to email them to describe exactly why myself, and probably 1,000's of others, will not be using their new software to download future purchases. Unlike many folks in the states, we in europe do not have limitless bandwidth and so getting 400meg plus of data takes a while. Also, I do not look forward to conversations like "Hey FAF, fancy a game of CS?"....."sure, come back to me in 4 days because Steam has lost my CS install again, so I have to redownload at 5bps"
I know that for every "Steam sux" post there are probably as many "I've had no problems at all" but in my humble opinion, any company that considers such a 50% success rate with a new piece of software a 'success' is getting the whole deal wrong. The list of problems I have had with the Gold version of steam is moe than twice as long as the original untested beta version. A full description from Erik, detailing why each bug occurs would at least go some way to letting us all know that they at least consider the feeling of prospective Steam customers. Until then, I shall be buying any Valve releases from EB and definitely not over Steam >

Steam isn't working for me still...after what 2 days...keeps saying my internet connection is down...piece of ape shit is what it is...
I don't like Steam and I don't like 1.6...oh well...maybe my 9 year old cousin will be able to play with me now...
