Ya know, a good idea for Valve would be to release Steam under BitTorrent. That would definately help with the bandwidth issue.

Anyone know how to get in touch w/ them to suggest this?

Some possible good news is that the steam web site is now refreshing at normal speed. Looks like they added some bandwidth. Hopefully they did that in anticipation of the release.
