CS DSP-500 = $89

When I reviewed the Counter-Strike DSP-500 headset, I sharply criticized the cost of the product. It looks like someone listened, because the price of the headset has been lowered by $21. $89 is a significantly better deal, compared to an astounding $110 cost.



While you're busy missing Steam, you might want to check out my CS DSP-500 review and keep that lower price in mind. The lower price makes this headset significantly more attractive to gamers at large, in my opinion. Nice work, free market economics!

Mine haven't even come close to breaking, clownpot. They only break if you're a careless idiot.

Hrm, that sounds more like lowering the cost by $21, not $30.



I've always been a proponent of buying a decent sound card for $50 and buying a headset that plugs into your sound card. That way you can plugin in speakers, line-in your electric accordian, etc.

i was thinking of buying the DSP-500s but since they're USB and it would do nothing with my Audigy2 i decided not to.



also #1, isnt the s/h like 20$ more anyways, so it would equal the price in stores.

I still dont think that its worth it for me when i only use the headset when i play counterstrike with a strategic team which talks and only play cs when school becomes a pain... like now when school is back in session .... %&$@!
