I doubt seriously that VALVe has been getting DoS'ed. Isn't it coincidence that everytime VALVe plans to release a patch, "something" happens? Seems more like a coverup of their mistake this time.

Steam Dedicated Server Release Tonight.........

It was "tonight" three hours ago where I live and I have not seen the Steam Dedicated Server files yet. Anyone care to comment?

Yes but they just got DOS'd by the mass of people looking at the download site, think what would happen when those people not only look but also download. I see why they delayed the release, they didn't know how much bandwidth was needed untill their site got hammered by people waiting for the update. Now when Steam 1.0 gets released it should be easier to get because they are more prepared. I just hope they make a really low bandwidth version of steampowered.com, like not just the download page text only but also the steampowered.com homepage to save all the bandwidth that they can because they will obviously need it all when people start to F5 attack the site and then download.

ummm well it doesn't really matter if its "tonight" where you live...it happens to matter if it is "tonight" where VALVe is...in fact that doesn't even matter..."tonight" could mean 11:59 pm for all anyone knows..and for that matter it may not even be tonight....they'll release it when they're good and damn well ready
