oh no, if I stay home from work one more day i'll lose my job...

...looks like i'll be looking for a new job, it'll be worth the low steamID #

Some people just don't know what it's like to be dedicated...1337 for life.

Being dedicated is losing your job for a very small chance to get a number that looks like a word on an online game distribution system.

        Wow.

Wow, everyone says "get a life nubs", then everyone else continues "get a life nubs", then the rest say "I can't believe the previous people, I say instead get a life nubs"... nobody is on the other side of the argument. Guess people feel the need to vent some anger over previous updates being late or something. Or perhaps they THOUGHT about skipping class over this, but didn't, and now they're feeling superior?

I myself had the day off anyway so it would indeed have been nice to get Steam right away, now I don't know when I'll get the time..

Anyway, I suppose it's true that people who enjoy receiving pleasant updates to their favorite pastime activity should indeed go commit suicide, like someone suggested. I also very much appreciate the person who used all caps and then said "chill".

That last paragraph was sarcastic. (anti-idiot warning)

How did I know this would happen...

Note to all the people who stayed home from school or called in sick at work: "LOL @ You! You should have saw this coming. Look at valve's release date accuracy in the past. It wasn't very hard to figure out that this would happen yet again."

why not have the highest steamID to be the most valuable?

                              "haw-haw, urs is only 2415, but mine's a whoppin' 515230! and 515230 > 2415, kthxbyeOWNEDbitch!"

probably because it's harder to get a lower steamID, if it were the other way around (ie. they'd started with 10000000 and went down), then the highest steamID would be the best.

Could start in the thousands. i've never seen a wonID below 1,000.
a friend of mine who goes to the same school has a wonID of 700 something. i know because i've seen it with my own eyes. also, if u do a cal-wonid-search u'll find many people have under-a-kilo wonIDs.

who has gotten it? and is it even working yet? I thought the servers dont go up til tonight. Which mean that i doubt they are able to even start it up yet
no one has gotten it yet, he was obviously lying/bragging.

oh, wait, no, *I*'ve got it! just remembered. oh yeah, and it's awsome. my steamID is 1337 too. cool, huh?

                              my opinion anyway. ;\

Wow.... and people called me names when I said this was going to happen. Hope those people feel like morons now.

VALVe is predictable, because everytime they try something, it backfires on them.
you're right... those damn bastards, they're so predicatable.

every time they try to release something new, instead of just releasing it on time they hire hackers to run some DoS-attacks on 'em and delay their releases... just to see us whine. it's your 1234+ comment whines about the initial Steam 2.0 beta delay that fuels the souls of VALVe employees. thanks to us, they can continue releasing great products... after a while. [/sarcasm - for the stupid ones, just in case]

"We've been informed by Valve that the Steam site is under a DoS attack. The client and server packages for Steam will be released as soon as possible, but at the moment it looks like there will be a delay. If things settle down, the SDS (Steam Dedicated Server) will probably be released some time today, with the client following tomorrow."

Who ever was surprise or got caught by this delay

                                do not know VALVe enough.

Its no myth VALVe allways delay there stuff.

after all its a free program .... dont complain about it :/

i would understand frustration if you had pre pay for steam

but its not the case for any one

Might just be a good time to play 1.5 for the last time
