1.6 Cobble Shots

The update looks nice and I can't wait to give it a try. Of course, I liked the original map to begin with(one of the few that did I guess) so any changes could only improve it. Dave, have you worked on any new maps recently or are you in a temporary new map making retirement? :-P

wow u cant climb the poles, thats pretty gay. Lets just hope u can boost someone up on their with like 3 people and walk across, or else its just a waste of time making the poles

While I would loved to have made the poles climbable (it would be fun), it would also be extremely silly. Imagine heading to one of the bomb sites just to have all the CT's perching on the wires. Imagine the Terrorists launching an attach on the CTs by running along the wires. Imagine Terrorists climbing up telegraph poles in mere seconds, reaching the top and dancing around like rizzuh after 4 pints of Carlsberg.



Fun, but extremely silly, and ultimately, VERY annoying.

fair enough, but it's 2003 today, and most people use windows xp. so could you please go with the standards, and update the map name as well? that would be very nice. there's no reason i can think of to keep the map name without the 'o'.

One reason would be that thousands of servers would have de_cbble and de_cobble on them, leading to confusion and a waste of space. Your idea blows.

I love de_cbble, it's a fun map, but alas, not a lot of people I play CS with share my love for this map
