Cheating-Death v4.3 Released

Update: It seems that v4.3 has some server-side bugs. More specifically, these bugs crash the server after about 10 to 20 minutes of up time. I don't know much about these bugs at this time but I will keep you updated. I suggest if these bugs are affecting your server to check out the Cheating-Death Support Forums here.



Cheating-Death v4.3 has been released. This version contains several new cheat detections and has a large amount of serverside fixes. View the changelog below and download it here.[break="changelog"]

» Added cdcurrentupdate cvar for displaying which C-D client version is currently required on the server.

» Added malloc crash workaround.

» Added cd_use_nsicon cvar for disabling C-D icon feature with Natural-Selection v2.0.

» Added liblist.gam mode support for Natural-Selection v2.0.

» Fixed multiple process ids for one hlds_l process bug.

» Fixed multithreading crashes.

Also something else of interest that is C-D related:



Ultimate Arena has offered to pay United Admins to assist the development of Cheating-Death. Remember Ultimate Arena is that organization in which you can pay to play against someone else for the other person's cash.



It seems they will be using C-D as its anti-cheat technology, and are looking to improve the quality of the software in its "league" (or whatever you want to call it).

if you encouter servercrashes after about 15 minutes, try removing the pingboost option from the commandline. Especially pingboost 1 is known to cause trouble.

i think C-D is better than VAC so i am happy :)

I prefer VAC over anything myself. I believe that VAC and a couple good admins is all that is necessary.

After getting banned by VAC until 2008 for doing nothing wrong, I can only play on C-D servers. The quality of play has actually increased on the C-D required servers because the people have to be competent enough to know where to dl it. Yay for C-D!
