We know that plenty of you in the community like to chat with your friends using IRC (usually on GamesNET or Quakenet), so you'll be pleased to hear that mIRC version 6.1 has been released. mIRC is the most popular Windows client for IRC chat. This update seems relatively minor, but a lot of bugs have been fixed and some small features have been added or improved.

IRC can be used to chat with a lot of people at a time, lets say 100, 200, or even 2000. Also, IRC is great for downloading things, and that is a reason why some people use it.

mIRC 6.1 is a fresh change from 6.03 to me.. everywhree i look i see little changes that make me happy, i really couldn't stand the huge blank spaces and some of the unneccessarily large windows in miRC 6.03 (such as the search window).. plus the buttons look nicer when they're larger
really doesn't look like a bit of space is wasted in 6.1 and to me that makes it more pleasing
who cares about the annoying popup window.. oh noz i have to hit escape! :P

I never registered my copy of mIRC. I just enabled auto-connect to GamesNET and the little notice to register never came up again.Comment
