again, id respond, but its more or less taken care of ... there \/
Actually, newer televisions are quite capable of running in HIGHER RESOLUTIONS than 640x480 - I'd expect a little better from a console that cost me so much frickin money. Considering the resolutions that 1080i and DVD produce - you can stfu.
That goes for you as well.helloworld wrote..
Most xbox games come with some HD option so you can just shut the hell up. The average tv, you know the ones that don't cost over a thousand bucks, still run a standard 640x480. Why show screenshots of a game that would only apply to a small customer base.xlokix wrote..
would make a difference
they should definetely take the pictures with a bigger tvComment

Hey the same for me, then I got glasses shithead. That or don't have a wellfare tv, dumbass.
Okay this isn't a PC where you sit right in front of the monitor, xbox is a console, and you sit 1-3 meters away from the TV, hence you can't read shit from that far.Comment

Good preview-thingy.
As for the screens etc, I like the look of it tbh. The one thing I never liked about de_dust and cs_italy were the overly-bright, kinda unrealistic textures. These ones look great though. Italy looks really, really good now, and Dust... meh, sure it's not amazing, but it's defintaly an improvment. As for it being 'dark'...... meh, it's more realistic I think. The guns look fine..... in fact I honestly can't see THAT much differance between these ones and the PC CS defaults, except for a skin change. The models themselves don't seem to have changed to me. The player models are a bit of a concern though, I'd rtaher they just used ones like the PC CS default player models, just highier poly and more detailed. The HUD looks pretty good too, though it'd be better if it was all one colour which you could change, ala Unreal Tournament. And I'd rather instead of the traditional numbers for health/armour, they did it like TimeSplitters, i.e. have a bar which decreases as you get shot. I find then you can always have an eye on your health and on the main part of the screen (so you don't have to look away), where as with the number-system I often have to look away from the main screen to check my health (one of the reasons why PS2 Unreal Tournament didn't quite work like it should have).
I'm really starting to like the look of CSX, I'll definatly buy it, provided it's possible to mess about with the controls etc. Like to be able to change HUD colour too, that'd help.
So yeah, so long as you don't have to use Halo-style controls, I'm definatly buying this.Comment
