Oh and i'm trying to figure out why a 256mb Geforce fx5600 is cheaper than a 9700pro which is only 128mb... the clock speed of the 9700 is a bit faster but not considerably. I'll probably opt to buy the fx5600 instead.

The 5600 is no good, but have fun with the card if yuou buy it... The 5600 scores about 9,730 in 3dmark01 and my Ti4200 scores 10,000.

good, i have a ti4200 also. 1.6 ghz. i guess HL2 will run smoothly with medium settings on. like 800*600 resolution too
