Euro-Mole a Success!

If you were wondering or too lazy to bother, Euro-Mole (or Counter-Mole II) ended today and it was a good show for all in attendance. Hundreds of people tuned in to watch the action go down on HLTV and take their shot at guessing "the mole." Of course sadly not everyone can be a winner and it all came down to one player.

the mole really didnt do that well first round i really suspected player 10 but then again people where really trying to fake it.

let's try not to give away the mole for at least 10 comments or something so it's not right smack in peoples faces who want to put their cheat detecting skills to the test. on the other hand if you don't want spoilers DONT READ THE COMMENTS YET. i'll just leav it at that mkay

If the mole doesn't cheat in a way that gives him a significant advantage, then what's the point?



I don't care if the losers cheat. I want to know if 1337_csKoReA who headshots me every round cheats.

I tend to agree on pubs, if they aren't tearing it up any worse then a skilled player who gives a shit? But in league play it just down right sucks when someone has an unfair advantage. This mole thing is just for fun really and it's arguable how much "cheater awareness" it brings about, but i think it's a start of some sort in seeing how a hacker, who is trying to hide it, would play and still have an unfair advantage in league situations.



To be honest it would be better if the other 9 dudes had no clue that this was some sort of contest and just a regular scrim, but how would they get away with that with all the publicity and whatnot.

I just looked at Round 3 and it looked like it was recorded by someone with a ping of 200+. Makes it really hard to make an accurate claim of who the hacker is.

Well, That was a busy day for me..



anyway.



MikeJ, we already told who the mole was.. (if you look on the main page)



Also - If you are watchin the one from the clan69 link (which is down now) that was my HLTV demos - and I had like 120 ping.



Anyway..



It was fun, all players had a good time, we had tons of stress, (much like the first Mole)



I personally was REALLY stressed out.

The problem seeme dto be that many of the non-hackers, were trying to behave ina hackersih way.... Very iriritating

After the first round, I (jokingly) guessed the person who did the worst, and who didn't know how to add spaces in their name was the mole. Of course, it turned out I was right... how ironic.
