why must it always be europe vs (north) america? can't we all just get along! picka clan and support them.. doesn't even have to be your favorite one, could just be one with a person you think is absolutely great (like potti!) sigh...



i know i wasnt the only one though who notice that the upper bracket's cpl_mill matches were all europe vs north american teams and the only north american team to win it was 3D .. btw, if morgan hadn't been clutch vs team9 when they were fuckin around on that round in overtime i think 3D would have won CPL.. cause then team9 would have lost to SK then, moral would have been low (while 3D beat a-Losers heightening their moral, after [of course] beating 4k for the second time on ) and would have lost to 3D on d2



THEN, after 3D beat team9 they would have been warmed up for dust2 because of the 4k match and proceed to pwn SK :P



then again this is all theory and whats done is done so gg to SK for winning another summer CPL.. can't wait till Winter

Actually there were a few huge upsets. Tec was the biggest upset by far. murk and zEx would probably be second. Though e7 being the second highest ranked North American CPL team was disturbing(and shows how random CS can be).



Tec was huge because they were considered to have the ability to win cpl and were out extremely quick with 0 wins in double elimination. Murk was big because people thought they'd place very high(though they had no way of knowing that) but they were out in single elimination. zEx was kinda big but everyone knew forsaken could beat zEx after beating tec and really playihng well through the tournament. I still can't believe e7 beat forsaken, rdw, tsg and others(and yet still get crushed by team9 and 4k).

Yeah, you're right about TEC. I basically forgot about them since they were knocked out so early. I am aware of the team, but when I wrote that the last 16 hours I was awake had all been CPL coverage so my brain was a bit melted!

Gotfrag was down pretty much the entire time and this was the fastest updating site(and never slowed down). Csnation will go back to covering cs news and gotfrag will go back to covering cs esports news but this was big news so csnation covered it. They covered it well too. Well they as in rizzuh I think.

Player of CPL imo was morgan. Unbelievable play in nearly all of 3D's matches. And this isn't biased, im from the UK.

Ya I love the euros and was rooting for 9 all the way. But Morgan definetly deserves MVP. His clutchness saved 3D a few times. 3-1 with deagle comes to mind.

That 3D vs. Team9 match was so intense though, I'll never forget that final round 3D won as CT to put the game in overtime.

gotfrag was rarely up at all so CSNation did a fine job. I think the greatest thing of this CPL was cplcast.com. We didn't have to go all over the place to find what was going on, or search through the brackets for ip's and channels.

i think steel and ksharp were a very big dissapointment for 3d..
