The Cyberathlete Professional League held a press conference just minutes ago. The Intel Ultimate World Championship will be the CPL's first event at the Gaylord Opryland Texas Resort venue. Registration for the Summer, 2004 event will start on September 1st of this year.
The venue will accomidate 10,000 to 15,000 people, included a stunning 5,000-man strong Bring Your Own Computer area. Angel Munoz, founder of the CPL, estimates that the purse for the main event will be $200,000 to $300,000.
Angel also announced that Team 3D would be the first official CPL member team. He was intentionally vague about that meaning, only saying that it would further the sport.
