There is major clippage through all of the videos. The bugs in this video clip the most but that was visible even in the e3 video.

Also nighthawk, steam is for broadband D:

reember, the vids are from like 9 months ago, i think. they may have made tons of changes to the source engine since then. I believe when hl2 is released, there will be no clipping problems

The video was awesome, Gordon picked up about 8 bugbaits, but it seems like he is throwing more than 8!! There isn't even an ammo count for the bugbait!!!

            Wow that rocked

Finally a game that requires more than half a brain... there is some sick strategy in this game... i love it...

Y didn't he just use his scope?

And y the hell did that thing kill him at th end? Sure everybody cant be your friend, but he had the lure in his hands...

i woulda liked to see him zoom in with the m29 oicw, and it seems like he has unlimited nades... the h.e. nade from traptown had an ammo count ...this doesn't ...bug?

This part was always my favorite of the E3 video and it looks great full screen. I always figured he had unlimited bug lure things or something like that, which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Ok, so I installed Steam anyway and downloaded this, but it just freezes right when the bugs rush into the room with the gun turrets, and then I get a little advertisement for "bink! bink! video" and it exits the movie. Is this normal...? It's 62MB.

Edit: Damnit it's doing the same thing for the tunnels video, but it only plays for less than a second. And its like 3.9MB, but I spent half an hour downloading it (1Mbps DSL)...

Edit2: WTH - I delete the 3.9MB tunnels .exe, open it again in steam, and it makes a new tunnels.exe that's about 8MB, except it didn't download anything new. It also plays for a few more seconds before freezing. Deleting it again and playing it doesn't give a further gain in size.

Edit3: I did the same thing for the bug video, it gains a few mb and plays for a few more seconds but still freezes.

Edit4: Now when I try to go to HL2 Movies it says "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." Next time, they should try disabling downloads before they decide to corrupt them.

Edit5: HAHA ALL GAMES ARE UNAVAILABLE <3 STEAM

Edit6: Ok, now steam gives me a fatal error when I start up. I hope the people who program Steam aren't helping program HL2.

Edit7: By sheer luck, I just kept restarting Steam and on the 5th time it starts giving me a Steam Update. All of this bullshit for a simple patch, my god. (I still can't play CS, it says it's preparing to load it or something and then it says the game's unavailable. Steam truly is the new revolution of game distribution.)

FYI, this file is now available at: http://www.fileshack.com/file_download.x?fid=3414#

Please link to it in the news post.

I fixed my problem of not being able to play 1.6, after reinstalling steam twice and deleting my cache. I'm afraid to download any more movies from steam though, I don't want to waste another hour downloading corrupt stuff.

wow, hl2 looks very different from any other fps i've seen. Quite fetching, i'm really looking foward to the multiplayer aspect of this game. I wonder what weapons would be available in multiplayer? I mean imagine 18 players were all throwing bug bombs, with like 4 bugs each. What would that do to game play? Also could a server or client stand that much processing load? (when three smoke bombs causes my pc shutter)

This game is going to rock beyond all proportions.
