    Another HL2 E3 Vid

Another Half-Life 2 E3 video has been released. This time, it's bugbait. The clip is a lot cooler with the sound. You can find the movie on Steam. In this clip, Gordon uses a pheromone-laced grenade to attract bug-like creatures to attack enemy positions and grunts.

To celebrate this, VALVe has sent out a meaningless press release. Companies will be companies!

Is this movie available for download anywhere else? I really don't want to install Steam on this system.

I reformatted a few days back and reinstalled Steam on my system. The Half-Life movies downloaded and played fine, but Counter-Strike failed to be able to join a game (seems it didn't bother to download the sniper scope blackout sprites? judging from the console) and now Steam won't even let me log in. Same crappy Steam errors continue to happen for me after very short periods of usage.

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of Steam. But so far I haven't seen a platform since perhaps the first one that was stable on my system, and didn't end up requiring being completely reinstalled/downloaded every few days at most. Damn 56k modem takes forever... bah.

Did anybody notice that after that big ant lion or whatever busts through the door, the door flying around kinda "sticks" to the ground and looks like it's rocking back and forth, half of the door outside, the other inside... Major clippage?
