SK/3D playbooks

GotFrag, those eSport loving loons, have been on the ball lately and put out two playbooks on teams that are being touted as the top competition. Schroet Kommando.Sweden, former CPL champions, are featured in-depth with readings into their playing style, their strategies and their positioning. Alternatively, Midway & Co offer up a playbook for defending champions 3D which features...well, readings into their playing style, their strategies and their positioning. Yes, I didn't have to repeat it but I wanted to.



My view on the playbooks is that no top team is going to re-use strategies that are documented and shown in...eSports playbooks. Look for more innovative maneuvers from 3D at the CPL like their famous dust2 tactics that helped them win last winter's CPL.

While agree that they may not reuse them, Sublyme, it shows how a team does with planning and strategies. I wouldn't discount playbooks as good reads even if they're not going to be mini-Ms. Cleos.

What rizzuh stated is true. The purpose of the articles is not to give out strats that I think the teams will use, its to give people an idea of how these teams will play. Also their CT strats should actually be pretty close with a few teams changing some of the positions. Such as 3D's de_nuke CT strat should be right on. I would expect them not to change very much even though i gave away their positions.

Strats require more than positions, they require the communication, the movement, the skill, and the general co-ordination.

We can't make up rumors about KSharp being the father of Heaton's children. We can only report what is really happening, and GotFrag is an excellent clockwork source for all of this information. Midway is good enough to compile these playbooks and bring them to you.



CSNation is a site that brings you everything thats happening with CS, not just eSports. We do our best to bring you a little bit of everything. I recall my first few weeks on staff, people complained we did too much eSports. Thus, we have to balance things out, especially in the wake of a pending CS:CZ release and HL2 approaching shortly.
