HL2 Delayed?

Delayed or not, when HL2 comes out, it better be good and worth all this fuss. God help 'em if it turns out to be shite and they got everyone worked up for nothing.



HL2 is either going to make VALVe or whoever rich as hell, or it's going to ruin them. I'm going for the second option.

I don't mind the fact that its delayed, 1.6 and Madden2004 will keep me interested enough until its release.

It also means that I don't have to put aside as much every month for a new GPU!

Ultimately, Valve will take the time they need to make the game as good as possible. If they said they needed another 6 months to make it great, then i'd be happy with that. They delayed HL1, completely reworked it, and here we are 5 years later.

So? Look at Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness. That took bleedin' ages to come out after the false release dates and what-not, and they kept saying it was taking so long because they were 'making it better', but it still sucked compaired to all the hype it got before hand. And frankly to me it looks the same with HL2. They're really hyping this up, been tons of delays because they're 'making it better', and I bet you when it comes out it won't live up to the hype. Sure, it might be good, but it own't live up to all this.



EDIT: I should just point out that I began writing this before 'Mobius?' made his post, so I wans't replying to him, because then none of what I said would make sense.

CZ has a release date for 18th August here in the UK (according to GAME who are usually right).



I note no-one has stated a time period for this delay. For all we know it may not be delayed and if it is, it may only be for a week.....

Too bad HL2 hasn't officially been delayed. How does that translate into "tons of delays"? Even so, if it actually is delayed, that's still just one delay, not a "ton of delays". LEARN TO READ.
