why didn't they bother to compress these videos, over 900M for 4 minutes and 43 seconds is crazy. they could have easily made this less than 100M and while keeping the same quality (or lack thereof)

First of all, after looking at the quality of the game in these movies, even though it was very hard to since the movie quality was bad itself... i'd have to say that I am NOT willing to shell out 50 bucks for this. But if it's an addon, i'd probably do it, being the CS fanatic that I am.



They still need to work on some of the animations, like the guy rolling around the corner who suddenly appeared standing up (uh ritual???). Funniest part about these movies is that Valve's own Doug Lombardi doesn't even know the maps... makes me feel real confident on the quality of the game. So far, all I can take away from the videos i've seen is that this game is basically Counter-Strike with bots on different maps and some (useless?) new weapons. It's going to be interesting to see how the final product turns out.

Sonus, I'd have to agree with you now. Now that I've actually seen the gameplay, I don't think I want to waste my money on this. If they charge more than 30 dollars Canadian, they're insane. The engine is years old, and it's way out of date. Ehh, I'm not to sure about this one anymore.
