CSX Movie

i dont think i will be spending my money on an xbox and CSX : First person shooters are ment for the PC and not the consoles. The game looks horrible and boring now....

Don't let this movie fool you. Manuvering with a controller may be hard, but once you practice, you can easily be good as someone that's using a mouse. i play quite a few FPS on my ps2 and i addapt pretty darn fast... maybe it's because i played golden eye for n64 for so many years, but either way, it's not as bad as you're all making it out to be.

You can't compare a game controller to a mouse. With a controller you have to "push" the crosshair around, whereas with a mouse you move the crosshair. Making the mouse far more precise.

Last night I was at Microsoft HQ until midnight. Some employees and their friends had four separate conference rooms connected over LAN and we played an 8v8 CTF match on large projectors. I got like 15th place, but many of the players there were great with the controllers and had precise aim. This proves to me that it's a lot more about practice than the controller's inherit limitation.



Also, people saying that CSX is slower and has worse sound...? I have the game sitting in my living room right now and I didn't notice these problems. You cannot base your impressions on a video.

Right on Rizzuh, When everyone has the same limitations there's no problem. It's all based around how welll you can manuever with the gamepad. Just take all those Halo junkies out there that can pwn with a joystick, better watch out for them when you get online with CSX. Haha

Well i guys your right rizzuh. I've been playing my "custom" cs for a long time now so i guess ill just have to wait and see. Its just that, so far, the only things that have impressed me about this game is the screen shots.

the sounds of the players werent that good, and since i dont currently own a X-Box this is not going to make me buy one.

Wow man, the graphics look really good. Too bad CS:CZ isn't going to upgrade the graphics like that. I think I'm gonna have to pick this up for my x-box. Rizzuh is right, the controller is not as limiting as you may think, although it is not as good as a mouse/kboard setup. And the point he made about everyone having the same limitations is right on the money. I personally am looking forward to CSX.

Hey, I just got done watching the video...and geez, I don't know what to say.



On one hand, the graphics are certaintly better, the new addition of maps looks cool, and the buy menu seems easy to use, but I just can't get used to the idea of having the Xbox controller replacing a mouse/keyboard. Rizzuh is right that it will be fair, but I'm guessing it won't be the same, it certaintly doesn't look the same CS I once knew. And also, what's up with the new Dust? I mean, why the extra "accesories" placed all around the map, they seem so useless and distracting. And another thing that should be fixed before it ships..is the sound, it sounded like crap. Of course I was hearing it from video so I guess I can't really say it will be bad. I just hope it's still gonna be a fast paced, game.

aiming with a controller is different however if you play with it alot, you will become good at it. People here are bitching because they cannot aim well with a controller it feels "odd" or out of place. Well imagine if you had became amazing at a controller then tried to do the same movment with a mouse and keyboard, it would probably seem pretty awkward too.

I have never been into console games, I've always been a PC gamer so I really can't say much but, just looking at the pictures, it just doesn't seem the same as PC CS and all the fun, annoyance and laughter that comes with it-- Admins, AFKs, noobs, and all the other funny stuff.



I kind of don't like the way the maps look-- there's nothing like the originals and all the big font letters onscreen make it look kind of gay.

I don't understand why the recorded the movie with a guy that can hardly use the controller. I'm told that the controller is clunky at first, but can be just as good as Keyboard+Mouse, when mastered.



However, it's sure obvious the guy who plays in the movie, hasn't. He runs into walls, can barely turn his neck, and takes more than 10 seconds to shoot a slow-moving target that doesn't (or barely, I dont' remember) return fire.



Shouldn't they use somebody who can't actually USE the controller for the movie?



Otherwise, the movie is cool. CSX looks kinda nice, if the joypad controls can be mastered.

Video looked great. The map updates should be released to us PC-ers sometime. Like CS-X_dust...



The walking sounding alittle odd- like snowy. The gun sounds seemed alittle week. However even watching it I could feel the Halo smoothness of aiming, its just so sweet.



Id buy it without a doubt, but Im not buying Xbox live for one game.

no, it's really just a matter of personal preference.



the difference between a mouse and gamepad:



mouse: you move with your wrist/arm

gamepad: you move with your thumbs



some people are gifted with either or
