Newsbits: Reloaded

Whoa. As most of you have noticed, there has been a drought of newsbits these past few days. Honestly, they have simply taken a vacation to Tahiti for a little R&R to let you all know. Please pardon their tan lines...

• akimbot 3.0 has been finally finished to become compatible with 1.6, as the recent steam updates have caused some troubles in the bot community. in addition, a nice little guide has been written up on how to install these wonderful shield-using bots for you all to abuse. as realbot has run into issues by the updates this past wednesday, akimbot seems to be your only choice for bot action.
  
  
  
  
• deviantone has a new script pack that is fully compatible with steam and 1.6. it promises to have an improved commandmenu, buy scripts, makes use of hlamp, easy to install, and some innovative binds. go and give this new script pack a try right now.
  
  
  
  
• weapon-hacks, known for their custom skins, has been updated with more skins for use. specifically, a new redone default pistol pack has been released. there are some others as well, so go go go!

As far as I'm concerned.. anyone who needs a script to burst fire isn't going to be much of a threat anyway



Heh I'm slightly embarrased to admit I've used a burst fire script before.. and it just plain sucks :)

In fact, I walked up to a CT with shield deployed and I right-click-stabbed the CT in the shield and the CT died. Does that mean that the shield doesn't block knife hits?

But even if it doesn't block knife hits, it's still pretty hard to get close enough a shield-man shooting a pistol at you...

the hlamp stuff is only for CS 1.5 version of the script, as is that screenshot. Steam script screenshots and features are all listed on the homepage http://esky.dodhq.net/ezcs.html



None of it is illigal, since it is all based on half-life *aliasing*, which isn't even true scripting, and in fact could all be written in the middle of a CPL match via the console. None of the commands used are exploits, they're all just clever little tricks, most of which a good player won't use, aside from weapon kit buying.

weapon hacks has some superb skins. screw scripts, a solid skins section is all that matters. theirs is incomplete as of now and it still rocks.
