OK, so it's getting hard to pick a new headline everyday. Erik Johnson has given the low down over at the Steam Forums. The major fix is that Opposing Force and Ricochet are finally playable.



New HL2 media was released also. Load up Steam, and let the new "Kleiner's Lab" download. Since so many people hacked the cache and posted it on places like FilePlanet, VALVe promises to make it harder to extract the unreleased movies.

God that looked awesome. Does anyone get a slow frame rate on that? Im pretty sure its only a movie of some sort, and therefore shouldnt lag me, but maybe Im wrong and its part of the actual game?

Are you talking about "Kleiners lab"? It's just a movie of HL2 in-game footage...

Download and install the RAD video tools from www.radgametools.com and run the program.



Select the video you want to play in your Steam cache. Under the 'Advanced Play' tab, change the Blitting style to "DirectDraw to primary surface".



Click 'play' and behold: Smooth video playback! :-)
