that made me laugh superm0nk, funny shit. cal MAY think that they did a bad decision after they see how many signatures there are (700+) but if u search threw them alot of them are repeats or fucking retarded dumbshits who sign there names as CAL admins or make their name so long that the page goes 10x over to the right :-/

Very true... i just looked and it's in the 750's now... if it weren't for the people saying "You guys are F**king cheaters... YOU CHEAT ON LAN" then it would be very convincing... and about 20% of signatures are insults... so that might of screwed them royally....

Too bad for dof, they're a skilled team, but they should know better than to be unrepentant about their rule-breaking in a public forum (GotFrag). I doubt it was the underage thing itself, it was all the talk surronding it that got them moved down. By now people should know that that sort of thing can get you screwed. Frank (and others) want teams that represent a mature and professional community in CAL-i. If you disrespect rules the way dof did in an open forum that the mainstream media might see then you should expect to get moved down, especially when the rule in question is enforcing the game's ERSB rating. If e-sports are to grow, wider acceptance is necessary, and the ERSB rating helps avoid bad press.



EDIT: dof screwed themselves, and all the petitions in the world won't change that.

cal has an age limit? i never knew that. otherwise they shouldn't be moved down because of the CPL incident. being that cpl and cal are different leagues? but there could be some other reason for them moving down maybe?

Surely the decision should be made purely on merit? (i.e. league position at the end of the season.) I don't follow CAL much, but they must have some kind of placings system to govern promotion/relegation?

I think if ur talking about the underage player shit u shouldnt call it "cheating" because people here that play Counterstrike are against the word "Cheating" because of all the h4x0rs so dont get confused :-O

TSO isn't getting moved down because Speakeasy provides the servers for CAL league play.

Not if you're trying to make e-sports professional and you run the top N. American league. Teams that act professional or have big sponsorships stick around even if they do poorly and teams that do well but act very unprofessional get moved down. That's the message that CAL is sending by keeping TSO and busting dof, and they've acted this way before, banning players who constantly run their mouths in open forums (I don't have a link but i remember this happening once a while ago). It's all about the image they want to present to the mainstream media.

last season tso came out before one of their matches and openly said they don't practice.. and if cal is going by roster changes why move esT down.. est only gained one and dropped one.. "BUT THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME TO IWA AND BACK".. bio and shock have had total lineup changes and nerve and lgd just cant compete in cal-i.. exs has had the most stable roster in prolly the history of cs and have done well at every cpl they have attended.. CAL is full of shit
