It's such a carefully determined mathematical algorithm that it almost boggles the mind. We typically send these things in to Lawrence Livermore Laboratories and have them punch it out on a couple Crays. Occasionally they're busy with work, and sometimes the formulae take extra time to compute correctly.



When they both happen, you get delays, like in this week's mailbag. But it's all dedicated to bringing you the scientifically determined best mailbag experience!
