Yeah, Dave married Erik, thus inheriting his 'J' initial.

P.s. Love what you've done with the website Dave

it would be cool if people could mod in trillian like support for other aim clients.... tracker is cool, but there is still the fact that most people will continue to use aim/msn/icq predominantly

No, You need steam to play CS, but its not going to cost you. The only bills you will get is if you buy a game, and you DL the purchased game FROM steam.

Steam is a content-delivery platform. That means that they could theoretically send you whatever kind of data you wanted. Steam could likely be modified to be a digital music purchasing platform, for instance, where you purchase a given song, download it, and can access any of your music from any computer you log onto.

I'm not saying they'll actually do that with music. The point is that they can send you whatever they decide to set up over the system. Right now, it's games. With an update, they'll be able to send you movies (they'll show up in your list of cool things you can download, and obviously will be free).

As far as the pay service, assuming you already own Half-Life or CS, you have nothing to worry about, you won't have to pay a dime. Of course, if you decide you want HL2 and your local game store is sold out, you'll be able to purchase it over Steam and download it onto your computer.

From that time on, you'll be able to use HL2 on any computer that has Steam installed when you log onto it. Of course, someone else logging onto that same computer will not have access to your purchased games.

But yeah, if you wanna see HL2 vids, they're gonna release some over Steam for us to download (if we want) in the near future.
