CAL-im Double Plays

CAL|Micheal has announced that CAL-im will have two matches every week, starting this coming season. Last season there was one match per week, just like in the lowest CAL division (open). The two matches will be held on Monday and Thursday. Check out the full press release.



CAL-m and CAL-i, both above CAL-im, hold two matches per week as well.

OH YES! Finally some good fun twice a week > I never liked cal-o's one match a week, it gave us too much time inbetween matches which may have lead to inactivity.

Yea bad move by CAL IMO. I'll like it a lot (unless of course we get moved up to main ;o) but not everyone in cal-im has time for 2 matches a week. I put in my 2 cents at the cal-im forums, it went something like this...

Yes 2 matches a week for intermediate is a bad idea. I am in a highly competitive clan and we are looking to work our way up to main where our hard work pays off in the most competitive division of CAL, invite excluded. This isn't for everyone, main takes a lot of work for most people and others would rather go at a more leisurely pace or have schedules which don't afford them the luxury of being able to keep up the scrims/practices and even match dates for a two match per week layout. For these people there is the intermediate division, which is stable compared to open, and has a fair number of competitive clans as well as a good mix of the not so competitive clans that just had fun working their way through open and are here to stay.



If you want two matches a week, work your way up to main, it's not that hard. If you can't prove your dedication to a certain clan or are not at the competitive level to compete in main, then how can you be ready for main like play style. Keep at it and you'll get there.

this is a good thing, it makes clans that were going to burn out anyway burn out faster so they don't pollute the ranks of Main.

I think that more matches the better. My CAL-o clan doesn't have problems getting 5 every week night, much less match nights. If we make CAL-im, the more match play will be a reward for our effort.

rizzuh, you should use the power of your crazy yellow fish to get your clan the hell out of the cesspool that is CAL-o... cmon, just pull a few strings... and on topic, two matches a week are cool :o
