Baiting: Something you do when the teammate next to you won't stop making noise.



Shadowing: Who knows. I assume it's the alternative to "backup" for people with slack jaws and unibrows. It's an odd name, as my own shadow doesn't get shot on a FF server. There needs to be a better naming standard for these things.



Also a popular strategy: Everyone on the team going 1 way. This is apparently to give you the tactical advantage of losing the majority of your team while trying to breach an area that should've been defended to begin with.

"Slicing the pie" is basically just strafing into a room instead of walking straight through the door so if theres anyone stood at the side of the door way waiting to shoot you you'll see 'em.



I really cant understand why people play CS as if its Quake3 and scream camper at anyone who isnt running around like a headless chicken. I run as fast as I can to the choke point then I pretty much sneak around for a while 'till the enemies dead.



Rushing though can be a great tactic if everyone on your team does it together, and when the other team doesnt expect it.

Is there a way to make voice comm run through headphones and everything else go through speakers? I have to have voice comm off cuz if my parents heard it I'd never get on the internet again.

In maps like de_prodigy I like to hang around in the air vents for a bit.

I did this once and my whole team died, so i was left to tmp 6 t's.

The funny thing is, it worked.

The weakest guns are the best in my opinion, I,ve seen people own with a mac10 for a whole map rotation and get called cs gods when there are people with the same scores but m4's or ak's.

The use of sound is also the best weapon you have against any one becouse if you know they are there you stand a better chance of killing them.

Hiding with a weak gun and your headphones on can be very fun.

what servers do you people play on? it would be interesting to play cs the way it was meant to be played again.

nope. just use headphones all the way... its easier to tell where the enemy is than just plain ol speakers, at least for me anyway... unless of course u have some of those leet surround sound speakers...

Oh my god. Rather than strafing right into a hallway, you move in an arc while uncovering more of the hallway. If you have the gun in your right hand, it would give you the advantage of being able to hit them while they cannot hit or would have to adjust their location (takes time) in order to do so. Almost any good movie will give you a good example of this, MGS2 will also demonstrate this maneuver.



That's besides the point. You should all practice this maneuver.

Competition(CAL, PG, OGL) is the only place I find that CS is played the way it's meant to be played.
