The next version of dust will be one square room joined by a tunnel to another square room, the next one will be one square room divided by a wall, and the next one will be a square room where the teams spawn facing away from each other and it's who can turn around the fastest.
You have a problem with that? It's revolutionary. No other official CS maps plays like it.

Mind you, rounds go like hit off a tick.

I liked the article overall. My only criticism is that there was no strategy for CT's to just guard bomb sites. The strat for the "timid T's" or whatever basically suggested that the CT's go out the hallway into a T sniper/spawn camping hot spot. That's all well and good for pub play, but if something was actually on the line most CT's would just cover the hallway and never rush out, right?

(For clarification I'm one of those people that think CT's can't be campers on a DE map and T's can't be on a CS map, at least in the loosest definition.)

Thunder was my lovechild. Probably the CS map I'm most proud of. It was pretty rough around the edges however.

I enjoyed thunder. It reminded me of older maps (such as wpndepot) mixed with the new wave, it hit right before CS was hitting the main stream. I thought it was great.

I don't think it was that good, just a little different. People wanted something different to play.

It reminded me of how CS used to be in some ways. I thought the whole concept of a hostage rescue on a Russian dam was very original, though. I had some of the best fire fights in Counter-Strike on it. I would like to see that map come back, I don't think I appreciated it enough before it was gone.

                      i loved thunder!

especially running out onto the dam only to get ak or m4a1 sniped from all the way across

those were the good ole days
