Losers Bracket Results - All teams who lose in this bracket are out of the tournament for good:
3D over Rival 13-2
sb over cswat 13-11
pinnacle over g3x 13-7
Punto CL over Playboy 13-10
eminence over nerve 19-15 double ot
ExS over Deep6 13-2
EG over DarkSide 13-5
iwa over MoM 13-8
Winners Brackets Results for de_dust2 - Losers are not eliminated, but instead head to losers bracket:
esu over Firstwave 13-6
GoL over Spacebar 13-8
DoP over f-zer0 13-9 - This was a really close match and I'm willing to bet f-zer0 would have won it if they hadn't dicked around so much t side. Whatever the case, f-zer0 heads to the losers bracket now.
W.E.W. over TAU 13-7
TSO over zEx 13-11 - very intense match
Infinity eSports over Riot-Squad 13-3
SK over simply Wicked 13-4
Gamers X over mTw.alternate 13-11 - HUGE upset, everyone thought GX was finished after being whupped first half, but they pulled it back together and were the first US team to send europeans to the losers bracket.
Notable matchups for tomorrow:
3D meets mTw in their first match tomorrow in the losers bracket on de_aztec. Whoever loses is OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT, and both teams were favored to place top 5. Unfortunately, tomorrow someone will be taking the walk early. 3D, I hope you're preparing for this.
DoP meets tournament favorite GoL, and one of them will be hitting the losers bracket. My prediction leans towards GoL taking this match, but we'll see.
TSO runs into the freight train called Gamers X, and while TSO has always beat GX online, lan is an entirely different animal. One of these strong teams will be moving to the losers, but they'll at least have a shot at digging their way out.
The British meet the Scandinavians as Infinity eSports faces off against SK in a sure-to-be close match. I'm going with SK on this match, but I may just be surprised.
All in all, tomorrow should be a day of the tournament NOT TO MISS. Keep your browser on cs-nation and if you have anything to contribute, talk to ni^sublyme (that's me) on #csnation @ irc.gamesnet.net .
Thanks, and see you tomorrow!
