except they fixed the smoke grenade bug, so the cpl guys are just being stupid
This wasn't about smokes crashing servers. It was about f0 throwing the smokes over roofs and stuff, and people are saying it's an exploit.

But it's over with, so it doesn't matter.

I've never seen this smoke strat before, I couldn't say if it is illegal or not, but it definately voided 3Ds rush stopper nade strats. Especially when they left a guy back to do it while the rest of the team rushed. Millers game was off as hell too, which certainly didn't help.

its not cal it's CPL. And smokes are allowe now since 1.4 enables them and doesnt f---- up servers.
That's my point, it's not CAL, so maybe the rules are different.

Maybe you don't get it but it has nothing to do with them using smokes its how they used them. They used a map exploit to do it over the big wall

That was the entire point, there was nothing they could do against this strategy because they wheren't allowed to prepare for it. I have watched many many CAL-I/CPL level matches on cobble and never seen this trick before. It is crucial for the defending team to take control of the choke point near A before the Offending team can get there, and this trick makes it down right impossible. I seriously doupt DaveJ knew this was possible when he built the map. The map was designed to be played a certain way, a way that gives equal balance to both teams. Allowing the offending team to break up the choke rush several seconds ahead of time while the defending team is still setting up is not fair, at all. If this trick was known by 3D ahead of time they would of developed strategies to counter it, or it would of been made clearly illegal in the first place by CPL.

HAHAHAHAHAH !!!!! I told you guys that 3D would be up against the wall !!!!

3D would never stand a chance against Euro / Aussie clans becos 3D thinks they themselves are so fucking good !

Now they will pay the price for being arrogant.

If indeed the grenades did "teleport" through the wall, as I saw someone above suggest, as I see it that's an exploit, no doubt about it. Just the same as skywalking and throwing grenades through the roof in assault. And I'm not familiar with the rules, but I assume this is an instant disqualification. Which is fair enough.

If the grenades simply travel over the top of the building, it's a somewhat different matter. I think MikeJ put it very well. It really is unevening the playing field--very cheap, no doubt, and morally questionable, but not punishable. I get the idea from reading these comments that 3D were in the lead until f0 made use of this trick, which gives me the impression that it was a fall-back plan for just that situation. Which is highly deplorable, if you ask me. A win-at-all-costs approach isn't desirable in any competition.

I'm Australian, and I'd be glad to see f-0 make an impact on the international scene. But not if they have to use cheap, relatively unknown tactics in order to win.

Miller played like shit in that game. And I don't think the smokes just pass over the building. There's quite a large space between both sides. It perhaps could pass, but if it was a map like dust (where you try to throw over the doors) it would just stop and fall to the ground (like if it was in water). But if you look at the map in free-look, you see there's quite a large gap between both sides of the wall.
