ECS Removes Cheats

Disk2, founder of the petition against ECS including a wallhack in their drivers, has received a positive response from ECS' US division.

I have received an email from a representative of ECS saying that they will remove the transparency "feature" from their production model drivers and will work to remove the drivers from any sites that currently have them. The drivers in the review, which were drivers for samples distributed to reviewers, will be modified to not include the transparency feature in the production model video card. They have apologized for harming the gaming community in any way and were very nice about the whole affair.

I'm happy that Disk2, a visitor of this site, was able to teach ECS a lesson. Good show to ECS for removing this cheat so quickly. Please note that the petition is fairly small scale, considering it was opened about 12 hours ago.
