    strat: cs_assault

Mr Bond has written up an informative cs_assault strategy. As you may know, assault is a popular hostage rescue map that was added to CS way back when -- probably about three years ago. Here's a tidbit of Bond's strategy:
At the beginning of a round, it is essential for CTs to rush to guarding positions in sight of the three entrances to the main building -- near the roller door, the vent on the roof and the small door on the opposite side. If these choke-points are not secured, Ts can easily flank your team. From this point, it is merely a matter of preventing any Ts from leaving the building and deciding on a time to begin the assault.

It is important that the attack comes from all three entrances at once. Otherwise, the incoming CTs are easy meat for the guarding Ts. Use the cameras located in the truck near the CT spawn to get a better idea of where the strengths and weaknesses are in the Ts' defenses.
How could it be any more informative without being some sort of informative giant willing to spread information for the cost of nothing? It couldn't![break="looking for more strategies? click on through, my only friend!"]Just recently we added a lot of new strategies. In case you missed them or didn't check them out at the time, be sure to read at least a few of them. Mr Bond's advanced ones are very informative.

    basic strategies

» movement - Mr Bond - Use your brains, not your guns, to beat your opponents.

» recoil - Mr Bond - Deal with the nasty recoil that affects your aim after you fire any gun in CS.

    advanced strategies

» stand offs - Mr Bond - Need advice on how to get out of a tough bind?

» teamplay - Mr Bond - Teamplay is a fundamental aspect of Counter-Strike. Learn it and you'll be a better player.

    » mp5 - keZuki

    » m4a1 - H-13

    » m249 para - keZuki

I don't know about you, bit assault plays games with my nerves, so it doesn't take AK spraying to give me the jitters.

Assault is only good when you play it with people that don't camp all the time. 3v3 with friends at a LAN is the best.

Assault pisses me off when all the scumballs go straight to T any other map they'll go straight to CT so they can buy an M4.

                    Nice. Very nice.

For the record, I thought all the screenshots were perfectly good, and complimented the technical strategy perfectly well.

                    Perfectly perfect.

yeah, most people like going to the Terrorist side in cs_assault because it is a camping team. you can just sit in one spot and shoot whatever comes through the door. I think that when you are a Terrorist in assault that you dont mainly camp just to camp, but camp because the CTs have you boxed in. If you set one foot out the door theyll shoot you just like you will do to them. So why not go CT if it is fair in this way, well when youre a T, you have better control and can see what is happening all aroud you because you can see all around this building, but if you are a CT then the Ts can be sneeking out of one side of the building and you wouldnt see it cause youre at the other and you have a whole building in your way. So the whole map is basically just a contest of who has enough patience to just stay put, cause when you get bored enough and walk out the door, BOOM!

What was the point of this strat? The only people who don't leave immediately when Assault comes up are the puds who scramble to join the T team. These are people who have the IQ of runny tapioca.

                        Quick tip:

As a CT, feel free to NOT BE A GODDAMNED IDIOT and leave the radar on the truck alone, seeing as the CT camera is the only fucking hope of winning your team has. Also feel free to send rancorous emails to the jagoff who put the map in the server's rotation.

No-one usually uses the cameras as CTs which is a shame but when I do I always get accused of having a wallhack for knowing where the people are camping, and when I say I used the camera they have no idea what I'm talking about.
