Update: All matches have been delayed until after the CPL event later this month. We'll save these predictions and post them again when the time comes.
Week six of CAL-Draft offers some highly anticipated matches, mainly Minds over Mice vs. Infinite Impact. There are a few other highlights, such as Space Cadets vs. Wrecking Crew. After this week's matches a more definative, position wise, ranking will emerge amongst the top teams. No longer will so many teams tied for second place based upon their match records.[break="full week six predictions"]Note: All team names will be proceeded by their record and points accumulated in the GM poll in this format (WINS - LOSSES : GM.POINTS).
Fraggers (2 - 3 : 100) vs. Strategic Deception (2 - 3 : 119)
Both teams have lost to Wrecking Crew 11 - 13. Both teams have 2 - 3 records. Strategic deception suffered a close 11 - 13 loss to the superiorly ranked Patriots. This match is likely to result in nailbiting overtime with the outcome decided by someone on Fraggers going on a killing spree.
Fraggers over Strategic Deception (16 - 14)
Space Cadets (4 - 1 : 250) vs. Wrecking Crew (4 - 1 : 191)
The GMs clearly favor Space Cadets but I can't say that I agree. While Space Cadets did put up a good fight against Infinite Impact they almost lost to Red Legion, from one extreme to the other. Wrecking Crew has also had its share of narrow victories, but they have been against higher ranked teams. Wrecking Crew is going to wreck the Space Cadets's record and rank in the eyes of many.
Wrecking Crew over Space Cadets (14 - 10)
Irongiants (0 - 4 - 1 : 72) vs. Carbon Based Lifeforms (3 - 2 : 126)
Irongiants is going through a really bad season being the only team to not have a win. Even though Irongiants will probably give it their all it will not be enough to defeat Carbon Basef Lifeforms.
Carbon Based Lifeforms over Irongiants (18 - 6)
Heatwave (2 - 3 : 99) vs. Digital Alliance (1 - 4 : N/A)
Digital Alliance is struggling but seems to have some untapped potential. Don't expect them to unleash it this week, though. Heatwave, while not having a stellar season themselves, will prove to be the victor.
Heatwave over Digital Alliance (16 - 8)
Valor (2 - 3 : N/A) vs. Thunder (1 - 3 - 1 : 99)
Thunder is another team experiencing a difficult season. With only one win and tieing Irongiants their upcoming match may prove to be more than they can handle. Despite Valor's lack of a complete roster on their page they should sail to victory.
Valor over Thunder (14 - 10)
Infinite Impact (5 - 0 : 348) vs. Mind over Mice (4 - 1 : 285)
Clash of the titans. A battle of epic proportions. Just a few ways to describe this highly anticipated match. The most favored team by far that stands to upset Infinite Impact's undefeated reign is Mind over Mice, and now they have a chance to prove their mettle. This match will go into overtime where Minds over Mice will clean up and win five of the six rounds.
Mind over Mice over Infinite Impact (17 - 13)
Patriots (4 - 1 : 221) vs. Red Legion (1 - 4 : 72)
Patriots is favored to decimate Red Legion and they most likely will. Skill-wise, this is the least balanced match this week. Patriots will easily take the win and send Red Legion running like schoolgirls who just spotted a big, hairy spider.
Patriots over Red Legions (22 - 2)
Riot Police (1 - 4 : 77) vs. Digital Disciples (3 - 2 : 162)
Probably the second most unbalanced match skill-wise, this will prove to be another easy victory for the superiorly ranked Digital Disciples. However, expect Riot Police to put up a fight as they slowly watch the rounds end, not in their favor.
Digital Disciples over Riot Police (18 - 6)
