CS-Classic Beta 1.1 Released

Here is some suggestions/demands:



- Change the Glock burst mode like it was in 5.2 (more like mp5 than shotgun..)



- Old-skool crosshair to awp/scout/misc. snipers.



- Delete some player skins (those that came in beta 7..)



- Delete aug, and make SiG for both teams.



- If you can, fix some hitbox bugs (eg. When crouching you can't hit head so easily..)



- Better skin for USP.



- Remove knife 2nd action.



- Add the old aztec



- Add as_riverside



- Add es_ maps (or is there any in this beta ?)



By the way, thanks for this great mod. Unlike other old-skool betas/mods this has servers that are full of people.

Hmm.. Does Cs-classic work with HLGuard? Everytime I try to make HLDS it just closes itself if HLGuard is on, otherways it works fine.



So is there any special settings for HLGuard to make it work?

For fuck's sake, pay attention to the game's BALANCE. Bringing back the days of 5.2 means jack shit if it means that P90 whoring is what we have to look forward to. P90s were toned down and the AWPs crosshair was removed why? Because they were broken, unbalanced weapons as they were. Do we need to be able to carry 200 extra rounds of M4 ammo? No.



Play it smart. Do what Goose refused to do; fix the balance problems WITHOUT screwing everything else up. Do that, and this little project could very well become what EVERYONE moves to. Bring back the "old days" for the sake of bringing back the "old days", and you just end up being a hack catering to the obviously defective people playing CSC now.

What I would really like to see in cs_siege, and i know his didn't come out until 7.1, is the good old APC. Now honestly who didn't love that thing? Goofy if you are watching please consider this.

Honestly I don't think focusing CS-Classic around 1 specific version is a good idea. If people want to play 5.2, they can download it from http://www.langames.net/ What CS-Classic should be about is bringing back the best of every beta. One thing you do need to keep in mind however is the game balance like mouth said. Most of the time changes were made because they were good and brought more balance to the game. If you get that balance just right people will actually play CS-Classic more because it's funner.



The running speed was changed for a reason. To slow it down and allow more skill and strategy than just rushing P-90s. Even the weapons have a balance to them. The scope on the colt was removed because the AUG was added. If you are going to rescope the colt, you have to rebalance the rest of the weapons so the CTs don't have a huge advantage. Just a thought. Keep up the good job.

Do you plan on doing this by hooking the dll? Is that even possible? You can't just add code to counter-strike, so I'd like to know how you plan on doing this. Maybe just releasing your "upgrades" with earlier and earlier dlls? You guys are frauds! (But thanks for getting people playing something other than lame 1.5 again :P )

You can stll buy all of those weapons they removed. All they did was remove the .txt files. All you have to do is press the number where the weapon is. And they are just using the CS 1.1 dll. Not really "beta". They just replaced the models.



I just got finished using a UMP and elites in a server :-/.

I agree that you shouldn't focus on one beta, also keep the newer speeds please. Balance is very important like mouth and that other nice fellow said.

Does it really matter if you can buy a ump and elites? nobody uses them anyway.
