CS-Classic Beta 1.1 Released

CS-Classic Beta 1.1 is out and ready to download. Detonator informs me that this is just an upgrade. You have to download Beta 1 if you haven't done so already.

beta 1.1 changes/additions

• changed mp5 model/skin to standard
  
  
• changed glock model/skin to standard
  
  
• knife slash sound from cs beta 5.2 added.
  
  
• various tweaks
  
  
• added maps, as_forest, cs_arabstreets, cs_assault (old version) cs_desert, cs_station, cs_wpndepot, de_fang.
  
  
• slightly different version of cs_siege. the tower at the ct start is now accessible.
  
  
• there is now a console picture

Detonator also says that Goofy will be helping with future development of CS-Classic. The upcoming versions will be focused on representing CS beta 5 gameplay (yes, that includes the scope on the m4). Something to look forward to.

I'd also like to see the crosshairs on the unzoomed awp.

Lol this is just like CS was back in the betas. New versions came out every few weeks to a couple of months. =D Now its "usually" more like 6 months cause they are cramming so much stuff in.

I miss the old beta days, when new updates were common, cheats weren't running rampant, and everyone was friendly. There was more sense of a community back then than there is now. The CS community has gotten unfriendly! Well, except for SOME people. ;-)

You have a point there, valve is doing an excellent job at handling the cheating situation, though I HAVE seen people hack, specifically on the RUNArena.com server (199.173.16.60:27015), which is, according to www.theclq.com, the second most popular Counter-Strike server.



And yes, I have seen people accuse someone of hacking when they aren't... has actually happened to me a couple of times. It sucks... especially when they ban you.
